Venue
All conference events will take place in a beautiful historical hotel Grandhotel**** Stary Smokovec which is located in popular ski resort Vysoke Tatry (High Tatras) on north borders of Slovakia. Accommodation costs are not included in the conference fee. However, conference participants will be entitled to ask for a discount at the Grandhotel**** Stary Smokovec.

Grandhotel**** Stary Smokovec
Grandhotel **** Starý Smokovec has been writing its long history in the heart of the High Tatras under Mt. Slavkovský štít since 1904. This first big hotel in the Tatras has been visited by various eminent personalities – Saxon prince Friedrich August, Czechoslovak president Eduard Beneš, British prime minister Harold Wilson, Fidel Castro and many others. In spite of disturbed times and two world wars, Grandhotel **** has remained an inseparable part of Starý Smokovec and its atmosphere. There is a lower funicular station located next to the hotel. It operates to Hrebienok, which makes the hotel an ideal starting point for trips and hiking in the High Tatras. After active days in the mountains or on skis in nearby ski resorts, hotel guests can use the services of the hotel Wellness & Spa centre with massages and spoiling treatments.
How to Reach the Conference Venue
By plane
The closest airport is located in city Poprad. For time schedule and connections please consult the International Aiport Poprad-Tatry official website.
The international airports in Bratislava (Bratislava Aiport) and Vienna (Vienna International Airport) are also suitable options for reaching the capital city of Slovakia - Bratislava. From there, the regular train links connect Bratislava with Poprad city. The travelling time is approximately 3.5-4 hours. We recommend using the InterCity trains connection.
By train
The city Poprad (Poprad-Tatry Train Station) serves as the local tansportation hub from which you can reach the Stary Smokovec ski resort by local train lines.
